Perform O/E & E/O conversion and clock extraction & integration.
Possess transmitting & receiving optical power detection and laser bias current detection function.
Support laser automatic shutdown function.
Perform 16:1/1:16 multiplex/demultiplex processing.
Support continuous concatenations of VC-4-16c and VC-4-4c.
Support N1 byte processing and TCM mode.
Provide monitor function for higher order path overhead (J1, B3, C2 and G1).
Monitor main alarms of section layer and report the result to XCU card as switching criteria for MS protection.
Implement pointer interpretation and justification in aggregate drop direction, and report the state of each AU-4 signal to XCU card as switching criteria for path protection.
Support seamless switching between working and protection XCU cards.

Support receiving and transmitting optical power report.
Support remote on-line upgrading of FPGA and BCT software.
