EMU Multi Service Transport Platform Network Element Management
Overview
EMU card of Citrans 550F is composed of network element management unit and order wire unit. This card can perform functions of both network element management card and order wire card. The specific introduction is as follows.
Functions of network element management unit
- Provide 32 directions DCC, support DCCR/DCCM compound networking and DCC transparent transmission.
- Perform configuration management, fault management, performance management and security management to the equipment and save the management information on behalf of NMS.
- Send management and control commands to BCT of each card and collects alarm and performance data from each card by SVB bus.
- Provide an extended SVB bus.
- Possess double power monitor function to perform ambient temperature check and system fan control.
- Support the remote download function of FPGA and BCT programs
Functions of order wire unit
- Process E1, E2 and F1 bytes in 28 directions, provide 4 data interfaces, and adopt bus access mode.
- Support two calling modes: selective calling and collective calling.
- Provide order wire connection for all nodes in the network. Order wire number is 4-bit from 0000 to 9999.
- Support automatic detection function of path state and give an alarm when the abnormal circumstance occurs in the path. And monitor communication state in both selective calling and collective calling modes.
- Support span order wire.
